DIY Bridal Bouquet

One great way to save some money with your wedding day plans, is to make your own bouquets. Buying wholesale flowers, and of course flowers in season help. And if you have never made a floral arrangement in your life - I found a great blog post on etsy.com. Brookelynn Morris staff writer for Craftzine offers tips to help design your own arrangement with ease.

Materials Needed:
Flowers
Large clippers
Floral Scissors
28 gauge floral wire
Wire cutters
Floral tape
Rubber bands
3-4 yards of lace and ribbon
Decorative straight pins

For those new to the art of floral arrangements, I recommend practicing these steps & playing around with your color palette ahead of time. You can usually find little deals at your local farmers market on in-season flowers. And just think, practicing only equals lovely little arrangements around your home.
For the detailed step-by step process, please visit etsy's original post.

♡Feather|Flower Care Tips:

Hello Hello!
Ok, so I keep forgetting to make a post about feather/flower care.. people need to remember that these beauties are very delicate and should be taken care of. So here's some tips..

Handle your feather jewelry and accessories gently.
Avoid breaking shafts or pulling out fibers.
Clean soiled feathers with a damp cloth.
Fluff and expand feathers back to natural shape by steaming over tea kettle or pan.
Pheasant Tail, Wing or Duck pointer fibers that separate can be stroked with fingers to "zipper" fibers back into place.
Store feather jewelry and accessories separately and hanging from a jewelry stand or fixture or in a plastic
accessories bag.
Don't leave them in the heat.. they will get hot and they will fall apart. I only use hot glue and stopped using epoxy due to fumes.

If there is anything else...I'll post it! If you have anymore questions feel free to ask! fancyyThat@yahoo.com

I'm horrible...

at keeping up with my blog..

So, I'll just jump right in.
July has been a busy month with preperations for the Grand Opening of The L.A Flea Market on Sinday July 18th, which I've been accepted to. This isn't going to be any regular flea market or farmers market..so extra prep is needed. For more info just click here.
Ah..my weekend will be spent crafting, filling inventory, shipping, building new display stands, on top of my regular orders. So.. I'm pretty busy. Doing this all on my own can be pretty hard sometimes but when I need serious help I know I could always count on my boy. <3

Here is what I've been working on so far as for today:

My Flower Friends: (there's wayy more)

I love these vintage button bobby pins!

My new display stands! I loveee them they look so cute when I set up at events!

Sunday's production will be all my vintage inspired feather jewelry and accessories.. fun. :)

Oh my I've almost forgotten!!!
Today I finally got word back from Ashley Greene's people..So I've sent out 3 different hair accessories to her and I am so excited to see her wear them and hear her feedback!
And I'll be shipping out to Miranda Cosgrove of iCarly! She's super adorable and love accessories!

That's pretty much what's been going on with fancyThat... working on my celebrity cliental, creating new accessories constantly, gearing up to sell at major events on top of my personal life.
I promise to keep this blog up with updates, thoughts..ect.

If there is anything left over from the 18th it will be for sale on the 19th on www.fancythataccessories.com
