Hey ladies-
How's it going? I feel like it's been ages since I've posted. Just a quick update I'm now 7 months preggo and it's a ......BOY! That's right I will soon have a girl and a boy. If I'm smart I won't mess this up people.
This pregnancy mixed with this cold weather here in the 'A', is doing horrible things to my skin. I've tried the things I have at home such as Shea butter. I find that Shea butter is a sealant more so than a moisturizer. So it really wasn't working for me. My skin has become tight and itchy, and I swear the skin on my legs looked like lizard scales. I had blotchy spots on my thighs. It was gross ladies. I had to do something, because I have to get my sexy back after the baby. I didn't want permanent damage either. So what I did was went out to target and invested in the Sheamoisture skin line. I purchased the black soap and lotion set for acne or problem skin. I then purchased a pumice stone and body buffer. So now my bath routine consist of using the black soap, the pumice stone, the body buffer, and following up with the lotion. Let me tell you ladies, my skin is doing so much better. The scales and blotchy skin is gone. My skin is smoother and softer. Sometimes after getting out of the tub I rub Almond oil into my damp skin first and then apply my Sheamoisture lotion. The whole Sheamoisture line smells so fresh and natural. I strongly suggest you go out and try it if you're looking for a natural alternative for your skin care. Here's what I purchased and loved:
The soap is like $4 or $5 and the lotion $9.99. They're pretty steep which is why I tried just two items to start off. Both have a nice clean scent and the lotion is THICK and creamy. Just what I needed. So I have a new skin care routine for the winter and it's really working for me these days. I also plan to try other items in their skin care line. What are you doing for your skin this winter?
